Denver Post and High Plains Journal Articles Feature Gates Focus Landscapes

CCALT also continues to achieve conservation wins in the North Park region of north-central Colorado, most recently conserving the 1,840-acre centennial Rich Ranch owned by John and Donna Rich. The land includes wetlands, irrigated hay meadows, and sagebrush steppe, and the transaction was celebrated in a recent High Plains Journal article. The GFF Focus Landscape Program began in 2011 in the North Park region in collaboration with CCALT, and now includes four focus landscapes (North Park, Southeast Colorado, Rio Grande Headwaters, and Upper Colorado Headwaters), each with a unique set of local conservation partners. Over 7.4 million in Foundation funds have been committed for land conservation in these areas between 2011 and 2018.
