GOCO Grants Will Conserve More than 40,000 Acres for Public Use, Wildlife Habitat | Great Outdoors Colorado

Great Outdoors Colorado has announced its latest round of Open Space grants, many of them projects also supported by the Gates Family Foundation. Highlights include shared support for Ute Valley Park in Colorado Springs, the "Bookends" properties on Corridor Road in Grand Junction, the Boxcar Ranch near Salida and the Maverick Ranch near La Junta. GOCO also committed funding for conservation of the McElroy property on the Colorado River near Kremling. This ranch is a key property in the Upper Colorado, an area recently approved by the Foundation board as a focus landscape for our conservation work.
