Innovation Zones Launch Across Colorado - Gates Family Foundation
Here is an important announcement. Click here to learn more.

In 2015 and 2016, Gates supported the planning activities of three innovation zones across the state. All zones received district and state board approval in spring of 2016, and launched in the fall of the 2016-17 school year. Each zone deploys a different model of the concept set forth in the 2008 Innovation Schools Act. The DPS zone has the most comprehensive set of innovations, testing new approaches to school governance, finance, and support. Administered by a separate 501c3 led by executive director Jessica Roberts and governed by an independent board, the Luminary Learning Network affords school leaders autonomy over operations to move their students from good to great.
